Instead of answering, Joe looked at the shorts Dale was wearing as he slowly removed his boots, not wanting to get them wet. They were only going to last so long on the island and he didn't want to encourage them getting all fucked up. His socks went next and then he asked, "Where the fuck did you get those?" They were truly awful shorts.

And maybe he was ready. Maybe he wasn't. Either way, the gun was tucked into the back of his shorts and he would get rid of it.
